Short report

For this assignment I have watched the following three films: The Shawshank Redemption, Back to the Future and Inception.

At first, before I had chosen those films, I asked my mom if she was okay with me watching films for a somewhat older audience, first she joked about it and asked me what I would do if she wouldn’t agree with it, I told her I would watch different movies in that case.

She said it was fine for me to watch any film.

The first film I watched was The Shawshank Redemption, I watched it on my laptop on a site I can’t remember the name of.

I watched it in parts because it is a pretty long film and takes a lot of time to watch, I even watched a part with my mom and since she had already seen it she could explain the things to me that I didn’t understand.

The next film that I watched was Back to the Future, I watched this one on my TV in my room, I knew we had a DVD box of this film and since it was on the list I took that as an opportunity to watch it.

The last film I watched was Inception, I watched it on our TV downstairs together with my mom, but unfortunately she didn’t understand it.

This was the only film I have seen while eating popcorn because I forgot it for the other ones.

Watching the films without subtitles wasn’t that hard since I mostly watch films with English subtitles, but it was different because now you pay more attention to what they’re saying and to all the things that are going on in the films instead of reading the subtitles.

I think that this is a very effective assignment and that you learn a lot from it but it unfortunately takes a lot of time.
